The World of Alberto Behind the Scenes
Alberto Pizzo, my talented pianist friend, has always captivated audiences with his performances full of passion. Our first collaboration was the event 'Grand Tour in Musical Landscape,' organized to support the Italian Red Cross during the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic. We also collaborated successfully at the Fuchuu no Mori Theater, where my images and his music took center stage in a remarkable concert. But for me, the most fascinating aspect has been observing him behind the scenes. It's a world that few get to witness, one that captivated me from my earliest days of being part of musical productions back in Florence.
It's a tense world, with emotions almost palpable in the air. Behind the scenes, there is an arc that moves from tension and focus, to the growing excitement as the performance approaches, culminating in the joy and fulfillment of a successful concert. These are images that speak of concentration, suspended emotions, and the moments before the magic happens on stage.
Here, a handful of images from that world of soft light and muffled music drifting in from the stage. In that space, I moved as discreetly as possible, capturing fleeting moments that revealed the quiet intensity and shared dedication behind the scenes, moments that make these performances unforgettable.
And here’s a gallery with some pictures from the evening.
