Rehearsals

The most exciting moment in a music and pictures collaboration is when I see what was only in my head coming to life for the first time in rehearsal.

I know how it’s supposed to look – but I always have some questions in the back of my mind. Will the connection between what I felt listening to the pieces while choosing the pictures, and the actual stage performance work as I imagined?

Yesterday I had no doubt. Listening to Alberto Pizzo and Raphael Scinia playing on the Fuchu Forest Art Theater stage was, to say the least, amazing.

There are still some tickets available for Monday the 18th performance HERE

On the screen one of the images I selected for the opera piece “Nessun Dorma“

Alberto playing “Oblivion” by Astor Piazzolla.

Here Rahael is improvising on Alberto’s original song “Mediterraneo“

Yuki Sunami (super talented opera singer and also the producer of the event) and the three of us having lunch after the rehearsal.
