La cavalcata sarda

September the 4th was a busy, but beautiful day. Seeing the streets of Sassari so alive, cheerful and colorful is always a pleasure. From early morning I wandered into the courtyards of what -many, many years ago- was my middle school… and the magic began.

Under a sky as blue as they are in Sardinia, and a strong and beautiful sunshine, I wandered among traditional clothes so colorful and gracious that it is hard to put in words.

I was on the tail end of my days in Sardinia, and I brought a substantial load of pictures to my new home, Tokyo. That sure kept me busy quite a bit with the selection and post-processing. 😅

Thanks to the Municipality of Sassari that allowed me to roam free through the cordoned-off streets (^^)

Here are some pics from the Cavalcata Sarda

This last one, is a pic of one of the moments when my eyes wonder around and look at was it happening outside the center of the action (^^).
