Kickstarter and the paper store
Me and Lee Chapman are both happy and incredibly grateful for how well our #kickstarter campaign has been received. Having had to stall the project for a long time as a consequence of Covid restrictions, now that the book is just a step away from becoming a reality is amazing.
We are still hoping to raise more funds to make the Tokyo Conversations project go beyond the book — the quality of which we are already upgrading to give people an even better book than the one we planned. Steidl Verlag Book designer Holger Feroudj is closely following the last steps of the design and print, so no doubts about the quality.
All that said, the campaign is still ongoing and according to how far we can go we are also thinking to expand the project. Possibly some exhibitions and presentations somewhere outside Japan?
So, if you want to get on the train while it's still running, the link to the Kickstarter is HERE
Down here a couple of pictures of the day Lee and I went to choose the paper for the book. Not an easy choice with so many options available, I tell you. We made it, though!
Texture is super important!
If you are into paper I definitely suggest to have a look at this place. It’s the Takeo paper store in Jimbocho- Kanda. Here’s their website
