RAI - Casa Italia
Last week, I was featured on "Casa Italia," a program on RAI, Italy's national television network. The segment, beautifully put together by Alessandro Libri, offered a glimpse of me "in action" - both behind the lens and during the printing process for last year's exhibit at the Intimissimi Art Space. This happened while I was also preparing for the launch of the campaign for the book,“Tokyo Conversations“ with my dear friend Lee Chapman (click here and have a look at some amazing photos).
Of course, I talked about the Awaodori festival and y love for “matsuri”! We also had some guest stars: Satoshi and Terumi Yabe graciously allowed themselves to be captured on camera during their visit to the exhibit. I also had the chance to talk about my friend Alberto Pizzo - who I have inadvertently pigeonholed as a jazz pianist, neglecting to mention his prowess in other genres and, most importantly, his talent as a fantastic composer. My apologies, Alberto!
All in all, if you're interested in having a look, here's it is:
Here are some photographs I took with my Sigma Fpl, from the street photography excursion with Alessandro, during which we captured a portion of the video.
