Lee is a dear friend of mine, a super nice person that has not been lucky at all recently. I'll leave the details to his profile and his words, he is not only a stunning photographer but a very good writer as well.
When I took these portraits his wife, Akiko, was still with us and well... I'm very glad she managed to see these pictures. I asked Lee to take a portrait of them as a couple before, but she wasn't keen on leaving an image of her distorted by her illness so it didn't happen.

All this to say that for me is really nice when the person I shoot the portrait of is happy with the result, but in this case, I was most of all glad that Akiko was able to see these before going.
